I want to highlight that sometimes these positive effects won't happen. We have good reason to believe that expressive writing can help quite a lot of outcomes. BUT! Everyone is different. Everyone will write differently and can have different processes to get to positive outcomes. It can be frustrating to try and not see results (especially not see any results right away). Be patient with the process and yourself. And at the end of the day, you know best. If it isn't working, stop. There will be other things for you to do!
